Patricia Ann Heckler, age 66, of Sidney, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2018 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. She was born January 17, 1952 in Sidney to the late William and Lucille (Evilsizor) Monger. Patricia married Mike Heckler on February 23, 1974, and he survives in Sidney.

Also surviving are sons; Derek (Amy) Heckler , Christopher (Megan) Heckler, both of Columbus, grandchildren; Timothy, Alexander, Sophie Heckler, sister, Janet Monger of Sidney and brother, George (Barbara) Monger of Toledo. Patricia enjoyed sewing, she belonged to the knitting club at the Sidney Senior Center. She was an avid reader and loved attending the Sidney Senior Center.

Patricia was a 1970 graduate of Sidney High School. She was employed as a Teacher at the Sidney Middle School. Patricia attended Capital University and later received her Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Dayton.

She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Friends and family may visit on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 1 to 4:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby County Retired Teachers Association and/or the Senior Center of Sidney.
