Patricia (Byers) McCandless passed away on Monday, October 5, 2018 at the Rouse Estates in Youngsville, PA after a battle with cancer. She was born on February 4, 1938, in Tidioute, PA to the late Charles A. Byers and Ethel M. (Walters) Byers. She attended Tidioute High School and subsequently Youngsville High School where she graduated in 1957.

Patricia worked at the National Forge Company, Sylvania, Struthers Wells Corporation and for several real estate agencies in Warren County, Pennsylvania, before moving to Mercer County. She married Donald McCandless of Jamestown, PA in 1989 and they started McCandless Real Estate in Jamestown, PA in 1990. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her second husband, Harlan M. Strane; fourth husband, Donald McCandless; brothers, Charles Byers, Kenneth Byers and Carl Byers; sisters, Jean Skellie, Mary Byers, Lena Wozneak, Faye Samples, Elsie Byers, Evelyn Biddell, Belva Byers, Shirley Davis and Edith Joseph.

She is survived by a son, Richard Barnes, Jr. (Ann) of Russell, PA; a brother, William Byers of Denison, Texas; a sister, Beverly Reddick of Tidioute, PA; grandson, Justin Barnes of Tucker, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. Patricia was a member of Greenville Alliance Church in Greenville, PA. She enjoyed volunteering at the local hospitals in Warren and Greenville.

She loved to shop and enjoyed her animals. Friends will be received at McKinney Funeral Homes, 54 West Main Street, Youngsville, PA on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from noon to 2 pm where a funeral service will be held at 2 pm with Rev. Jeffrey Canter, pastor of the Youngsville Evangelical United Methodist Church officiating.
