Patricia Elaine Smith, 77, of Fremont passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont. The family will receive friends Friday, December 28, 2018 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith was born in Johnston County on November 17, 1941 to the late Clifton and Lillie Mae Lamb Price. She was owner, along with her husband at Capital Café in Fremont of almost 30 years. She is survived by her loving husband, W.T. Smith; her son, Tommy Smith and wife, Darlene of Belfast; her daughter, Donna Barrett and husband, Ken of Pikeville; one brother, Raymond Price of Kenly; four grandchildren, Brandi Davis and husband, Robert, Garrett Smith and wife, Betty, Will Barrett and wife, Ashley and Krista Beamon and husband, Taylor; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Davis, Kendall Grace Davis, Rett Smith and Raegan Barrett.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by three brothers, J.D. Price, Wayne Price and Alton Price and two sisters, Julia Denning and Jean Godwin. The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
