Obituary for Patricia J. Bycraft Patricia J. (Hoover) Bycraft, 89, of Alliance, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 2:25 pm at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring, Ohio. Born on May 19, 1929 in Niles, Ohio to Leo and Dorothy (Edgar) Hoover, she lived in Alliance for most of her life. Pat was a member of the First Friends Church and was employed at Sparkle Market as a Cashier for over 18 years.
She was also employed at Polinori’s Restaurant and Coastal Pet after her retirement. Pat enjoyed sewing, crocheting, camping, roller skating, and going to theaters. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her three daughters, Patty Snyder of Alliance, Joanne (Steve) Klaas of Beloit and Slyvia Crider of Georgetown, SC; two sons, Frank Bycraft, Jr. of Beloit and Joseph Bycraft of Alliance; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; long time family member, Bill Crider; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Frank E. Bycraft, Sr., whom she married on September 11, 1948 and who died on February 3, 2002; her daughter, Kathy King; a great-grandson, Alan Gregory; a grandson, Rafe Poteet; two son-in-laws, Alan King and Ron Snyder; two sisters, Doris Hoover and Catheryn Rogers; and three brothers, Leo, Harry and Thomas Hoover; and her parents. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, from 11:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m. at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
Her Memorial Service will begin at 12:00. Her family would like to thank Crandall Medical Center staff and Hospice of the Valley staff for all the loving care they gave to their mother. Memorial contributions are suggested to Copeland Oaks, 800 S. 15th St., Sebring, OH 44672.
