Obituary for Patricia Jean Padgett Patricia Jean Padgett, 86, of Waldorf, Maryland, died on September 24, 2018 at the Calvert County Nursing Center in Prince Frederick. Born on December 25, 1931 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Regina Craig Garner and Joseph Earl Garner. Mrs. Padgett worked as a banker for Commercial Credit for many years before retiring.

She was a member of the Waldorf Lioness Club, Mary’s Helping Hands (part of the Knights of Columbus), Waldorf Democratic Club, Maryland State Council of the Knights of Columbus, the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Maryland. Mrs. Padgett was also a fan of the Washington Redskins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret Mary “Peg” Garner Hesen, Thomas Craig Garner and Joseph Paul Garner.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Joseph Padgett; daughter Deborah Padgett Browning; grandson Patrick Robert Browning; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 10AM until time for Mass to begin at 11AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, Maryland 20613. Interment to follow at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Bryantown, Maryland 20613 at 1PM.
