Obituary for Patricia Jean Vollmar (Donahue) Patricia Jean Vollmar (née Donahue) of St. Louis, Missouri passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on December 7, 2018. Patricia was born August 1, 1930, to Leo and Alice Donahue. She sought to instill in her family, a zest for life, a commitment to family and friends, the power of a smile and the value of a good bottle of champagne.

At the age of 19, she met the love of her life Walter William Vollmar on a blind date. They were married for 44 years and traveled the world with their best friends Betty & Don Wendel. Together they accomplished their goal of seeing the Seven Wonders of the World.

She started playing professional softball at the age of 16 and would always share stories with her family about how tough she was on the field. She was a musical movie lover, a grand entertainer, costume party enthusiast and if there was music…she was always dancing! Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Walter William.

She leaves behind her daughter Michel and husband Bruce, son William and wife Robin, granddaughter Casey, granddaughter Kelley and husband Jeffrey; grandson Aaron, grandson Craig and wife Stacy, grandson Ben and wife Lyndsay, grandson Jerry and many family and friends. A private family funeral will take place on Friday, December 14th at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
