Patricia A. “Patty” Pontones Age 65, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday Jan. 11, 2019. She was born Oct.

5, 1953 in Canton, a daughter of the late Barbara (Dieringer) Pontones, on Jan. 6, 2017, and Arthur Pontones, and was a life resident of Waynesburg. Patty was a 1972 graduate of Sandy Valley High School and worked many years at the Stark County Clerk of Courts office.

She had spent the last 15 years helping her brother, Don, at Don’s Custom Meats. Patty was a member of Shepherd of The Valley Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, and she especially adored watching her great-niece and great-nephew grow over the past year.

She lovingly cared for her father, and will be deeply missed by her entire family. Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy and Gary Pontones. Besides her father, Arthur Pontones, Patty is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Don and Kathy Pontones, Sr.; a sister-in-law, Chris Pontones; five nieces and nephews and their spouses, Amber and Bill Weaver, Donny and Angela Pontones, Jr., Gary and Casey Pontones II, Kara and Nick Pontius, and Kelly Pontones; a great-niece, Reagan Pontius, and a great-nephew, Kason Pontones; the beloved family dog, Poncho; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Scott Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
