Patricia had been a homemaker. She was born December 13, 1934 at Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of George and Lucille (Reminger) Gooch.

She married Edgar A. Pursell, Sr. on September 2, 1951 at Piggott, AR and he preceded her in death on October 27, 2007. She is survived by her children – Edgar A. Pursell, Jr. and wife Peg of Du Quoin, Tim Pursell and wife Kris of West Palm Beach, FL, Cindy McClerren and husband Darrel of Coello, IL, Cheryl Schneider and Marvin Graff of Pinckneyville, Tricia Cannedy and husband Steve of Pinckneyville, and Julie Pyatt of Steeleville, grandchildren – Edgar A. Pursell, III and wife Pam of Du Quoin, Doug Pursell and wife Amanda of Du Quoin, Jay Pursell and wife Kelly of Chapin, SC, Matt Toler and wife Leticia of St. Charles, IL, Kyle Pursell and wife Caitlin of Pinckneyville, Kelly Rose and husband Jason of Peoria, AZ, Jill DeLarzac and husband Tom of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Neilly Martin and husband Scott of West Palm Beach, FL, Renee Burdel and husband Tim of Tamaroa, Janie Miller and husband Curtis of Pinckneyville, Matthew Stanley and wife Chrystal of Mulkeytown, Carrie Hendershot and husband Joe of Tamaroa, Josh Stanley and wife Janell of Murphysboro, IL, Darren McClerren and wife Cindy of North Carolina, Angela Woodring and husband Joe of Thompsonville, IL, Amy McClerren of Alabama, Ali Craig and husband Cameron of Chicago, IL, Meghan Pyatt of Du Quoin, Taylor Pyatt and Alicia Stanhouse of St. Louis, MO, and Austin Pyatt and wife Hayley of Du Quoin, and thirty-four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters – the former Carolyn Loucks, Peg Eaton, and Judy Hogg and one great granddaughter – Kennedy Pursell.

Per Patricia’s request, cremation services were held. There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin is in charge of arrangements.
