Patricio Ramon April 28, 2019 Patricio Ramon died Sunday, April 28th after a 3-year battle with cancer. Patricio was born in Salacedo, Ecuador on January 30th, 1943 and lived in Chicago, IL for 45 years before moving to Clayton, MO in 2015 and was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Galo Ramon. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Teresa Ramon, who took wonderful care of him in his final years, two brothers, Enrique and Marco Ramon, two sisters, Clara Gutierrez and Martha Coronel, two children, John and Mark Ramon, and four grandchildren, Keaton, Samuel, Lucas, and Max Ramon.

Patricio grew up in Salcedo, Ecuador, attended university in Quito, Ecuador, also serving in the Ecuadorean Navy. In 1971, he moved to Chicago where he spent his career in the hotel & hospitality industry, serving as a banquet manager for 32+ years. Patricio became a proud US citizen in 1997.

He enjoyed music, dancing, and great conversations on a wide variety of topics with all walks of life. In addition to socializing and befriending the world, he revealed in spending time and playing with his grandsons, assisting them with homework, visiting them at school, and frequently taking them to the Magic House, the Shaw Park Pool, and the St. Louis County libraries. Memorial services for Patricio Ramon will be held Sunday, May 5th, at Lupton Chapel in University City.

Visitation will be from 11am-1pm followed by a memorial service at 1 pm. Because there was nothing that Patricio loved more than a celebration with family and friends, we invite you to dress in any colors as though you’re attending a wedding or party more so than a funeral.
