OBITUARY Patrick John Carr February 4, 1937 – January 14, 2019 Patrick J.Carr 81 of Nokomis , FL and formerly of Scarsdale, NY passed on January 14, 2019 surrounded by his family. Patrick was born in the Bronx NY to the late John and Catherine (Tobin) Carr. He attended Blessed Sacrament, Mnsgr Scanlon HS , Iona College and Fordham Law School, JD ‘64, NYU , LLM ‘68 in Taxation.

Patrick was in the Navy Reserve while in College. He married Maureen Purcell in St. Anthony’s Church and is survived by his four Children: Patrick Carr, Jennifer Carr, Ian (Arrington) Carr, Marykate (Brant) Root. Also surviving our his eight grandchildren: Sean Carr, Declan and Teague Seymour, Aengus , Eoin and Arrington Carr, Perrin and Shea Root.

Pat is predeceased by his parents, his daughter Maryellen , brother Kevin, brother-in-law Bill Purcell, sisters-in-law Patti Carr and Barbara Purcell and nephew John Purcell. He is also survived by his brother John (Janel ) Carr of Englewood, CO, and sister Ellen and (Jack) McNally of Venice, FL. , and many nieces and nephews.

Pat had a keen wit and we marveled at his knowledge of every possible subject. Pat loved the Law and practiced for 54 years both with firms and solo. If he represented you – you got his all and his best.

Visitation on Thursday January 17, 2019 from 4pm to 8 pm at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home, 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583. Mass of Christian Burial Friday January 18, 2019 11AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 8 Carman Road , Scarsdale, NY. Interment St. Raymond’s Cemetery Bronx New York.

In lieu of flowers donations to St Jude Childrens Hospital in his name appreciated.
