OBITUARY Patsy Helen Tawater April 11, 1937 – September 24, 2018 Patsy Helen Tawater, of Watauga, Texas passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 in Arlington, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born on April 11, 1937 in Winnsboro, Texas to Irvis Houston and Birdie Pauline Smith.

Patsy graduated from Austin High School, in Houston, in 1955. She married David Tawater in 1956. She enjoyed being a wife and mother.

She stayed busy as a mil-itary wife and helped in the elementary schools that her children attended. When her children were in high school she was very involved in the youth ministries at the churches they attended as a family. When she moved to San Antonio Patsy worked in the church they attended, Castle Hills First Baptist.

She started as the secretary of the Women’s Ministry and later became the secretary to the Youth and Children’s Pastor. After moving to Watauga, TX in 2001 she joined Glenview Church and worked as the receptionist for several years. She was a member of Olivia Ryan’s Encourager Sunday School Class.

Patsy is survived by her children, Debra West and spouse, of Nashville, TN, David Tawater, of Portland, OR and Kevin Tawater and spouse of Ft. Worth, TX. Her only sibling, Karen Jett and brother-in-law live in Arlington, TX.

Patsy has five grand-children, five great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Stephen Tawater. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Ministry at Glenview Church by clicking on the link below.
