Paul M. Brown, age 73, resident of Porter passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. Paul was born on March 2, 1945 to Leo and Evelyn M. (Butler) Brown in Bakersfield, CA. He was a 1963 graduate of Coweta High School in Coweta, OK.

Paul was a proud veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He married the love of his life, Carmen Kay (Herring) Brown on June 30, 1988 in Charleston, SC. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, being outdoors, camping, grilling outdoors and he was an avid OU football fan. Paul always enjoyed visiting with people and was always playing pranks on the ones he loved most. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Evelyn Brown.

Paul is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carmen Brown of the home in Porter, OK; 3 sons, Jeff Brown of Wagoner, OK, Josh Brown of Porter, OK and Kevin Phipps and wife, Sara of Independence, KS; 4 grandchildren, Grace Brown of Altus, OK, Micah Brown of Porter, OK, Cole Phipps and Gunner Phipps, both of Independence, KS; 1 aunt, Wanda Butler; 1 uncle, Udell Butler; and numerous other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, April 26, 2018 and services celebrating Paul’s life will be at 10 AM on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Brody Morris officiating.
