Paul Dean Hunter was born September 17, 1949 in Pocahontas, Iowa to Ralph and Mildred (Barnhardt) Hunter. He grew up there and graduated from Pocahontas High School. After graduation he served in the United States Navy.

Once his induction was complete, he returned to Pocahontas where he lived for a few years. Paul was united in marriage to Camille Hinrichs. The family lived in Fort Dodge where Paul did dry wall in home construction for many years.

He then worked for USG Mills as a machine operator, retiring in 2015. Paul was an active member of the Fort Dodge V.F.W. He was also an AVID fisherman.

On May 8, 2018 Paul Dean Hunter died at the Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He is survived by his children; Danyal Totten, Michael Lennon, Matthew Lennon, Robert Lennon and Jay Hunter. His also survived by 6 grandchildren and his siblings Beverly, Bonnie and Mark.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Camille. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge, Iowa was entrusted with the arrangements.
