OBITUARY Paul H Vackel June 29, 1956 – July 15, 2018 Paul Vackel, a long-time resident of East Aurora, passed away on 7/15/18. Paul was born on 6/29/1956, the son of the late Harry W. and Audrey Havens Vackel. Paul was an active and beloved member of St. Matthias Church and the East Aurora Aktion Club.

Paul worked many years at Tops in East Aurora and was well known in the community. Recently, Paul attended a program at Lord of Life and the Cantalician Center, both of Depew at which he enjoyed many activities such as outings and men’s groups. Paul enjoyed traveling which took him to the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii and several other states.

Paul was always eager to share his adventures, a smile or a good joke. At home, Paul enjoyed taking care of the yard, washing the cars, ensuring the housekeeping was completed, and knitting Paul is survived by his sister, Lynn (Spencer) Hunter, his brother Neil (Marcia) Vackel and his nephews, Wesley Hunter and Andrew Vackel. Paul is also survived by his church family and friends from SASI.

Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 784 Main St., East Aurora, NY. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 am at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, 374 Main St., East Aurora NY. Online condolences may be shared at www.
