Paul R. Schons Paul R. Schons 94, of McDonald, died, Wednesday, July 18, 2018. He was born December 30, 1923 in McDonald; a son of Charles M. and Margaret Lemon Schons. Mr. Schons was a McDonald High School Graduate, class of 1941.

He was a WWII veteran serving in the United States Marines. He was a Union Carpenter for Local 142 for 40 yrs. where he retired in 1989.

Mr. Schons was a member of St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, the VFW, American Legion and the McDonald Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid Steeler fan attending many games at Three River Stadium. On August 12, 1950 he married Marie Prebeg Schons who died November 18, 2005.

Survivng are two sons Charles M. “Chuck” (Beverly L.) Schons of McDonald and Robert P. Schons of Midway; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Josh) Yatsko, Charles III, Paul II (Marissa) and Matthew Schons; two great-grandchildren Madelynn Yatsko and Brennen Schons. Deceased is an infant daughter Nancy Schons and a sister Theresa Schons. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10:00am in St. Alphonsus R.C. Church McDonald, PA.

15057. Everyone is asked to meet at the church. Interment will take place at Robinson Run Cemetery.
