Obituary for Paul Wheatley Paul Wheatley, 73, of Alliance, died on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 9:00 p.m. at Aultman Hospital. He was born on June 16, 1943 in Alliance to Joseph and Helen (Miller) Wheatley, and lived in Alliance all of his life. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of B.P.O. Elks #467.

Paul possessed a great sense of humor and was extremely witty. He loved to travel and socialize with family and friends. Paul was an avid reader, and it was not unusual for him to enjoy reading three or four books at a time.

One of his favorite past-times was going to the library with his son, Brian. He also loved taking the family dogs to the park to play Frisbee. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kristy (Schneider) Wheatley; his son, Brian Wheatley; his sister, Debbie (Bud) Middleton; a brother, Gary Wheatley; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two sisters, Beverly Beaton and Karen Register. The family will receive friends at Walton-Schrader Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A rosary service will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, February 16, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, February 16, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, www. stjude.org , or to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 427 E Broadway St, Alliance, OH 44601 or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are by the Walton-Schrader Funeral Home, 1131 W. State St., Alliance, Ohio 44601.
