Obituary for Paula Edwards Paula Diane Edwards fulfilled the assignment that was given to her by God on Sunday, September 22, 2018. Her 57-year journey was complete as she transitioned from her earthly temple. Paula was born in Youngstown, Ohio on September 30, 1960 to Bertha Mae and the late Thomas Earl Betts, Sr

She graduated from South High School in 1978 and graduated from Youngstown State University with an Associate degree in Childcare. Paula moved to the California area desiring a better life. She met and married the late Robert “Poncho” Edwards August 20, 1987.

From this union, two children were born, Renee Danielle and Brittany Diane. Paula was a model employee during her working career. Her passion was to assist individuals in the healthcare field.

Her career was built while being employed by various health organizations including Aetna, BlueCross, United HealthCare along with her most recent employment with Leisure Point Five Star Community in San Bernardino, CA. Paula had an art for loving people. Her genuinely compassionate and caring heart for the welfare of all whom she met, was always on display.

Paula was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Robert Edwards; father, Thomas Earl Betts, Sr.; and her grandparents. Paula leaves to treasure her memory two daughters whom she most cherished, Renee Danielle and Brittany Diane; and one grandson, Ezekiel Robert all of San Bernardino, CA; mother, Bertha Mae Betts and brother, Thomas Earl Betts, Jr. of Youngstown, Ohio; sister, Debra (Larnell) Williams of Colmar Manor, MD; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, former co-workers and clients, and many, many friends.
