Paulette “Polly” Bolton Smitherman, age 65 of Clanton. passed away on November 30, 2018 at Hatley Healthcare in Clanton. She was born in Clanton on April 6, 1953 to the late George Bolton and the late Alice Hayes Bolton.

She was a home health provider. She is survived by her husband, Ricky Smitherman of Clanton; Children, Alvin (Lynn) McCary of Clanton, Troy (Tammy) McCary of Clanton, Connie (Brian) Bates of Clanton, and Ricky (Elizabeth) Smitherman of Clanton; 7 Grandchildren; and 2 Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Alice Bolton and her siblings, Elvin Bolton, Mary Ann McCary, and Jenny Taylor.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 4:00pm from the New Hope Baptist Church in Jemison with Rev. Kelvin Smitherman officiating. Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton.
