Pauline Elizabeth Meluney , October 15, 1919 — December 30, 2018

Pauline Elizabeth “Lib” Meluney, age 99, of Dover passed away peacefully on December 30, 2018. Mrs. Meluney was born on October 15, 1919 in Seaford, DE. , daughter of Oscar W. O’Neal and Mildred N. O’Neal.

She graduated from Seaford High School in 1937. Mrs. Meluney was married to T. Francis Meluney who died in September, 2004. They had been married for 66 years at the time of his death.

Mrs. Meluney, affectionately known as “Lib”, was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an accomplished cook and devoted homemaker. She cherished time with her family and especially enjoyed having everyone at home for the holidays.

Mrs. Meluney had been a member of the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for several years. She enjoyed supporting the efforts of the volunteer fire personnel. Mrs. Meluney had been a member of the Capitol Baptist Church since 1985.

She loved her church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, T. Francis Meluney, a brother, Lawrence O’Neal (Eleanor) and a sister, Margaret “Peg” Carter. She is survived by a daughter, Pat Meluney of Dover; two sons and daughter-in-laws; William F. Meluney (Eydie) of Camden, DE, and A. Wayne Meluney (Daralyn) of Lewes, DE.

; a brother, Allen O’Neal (Ann), three grandchildren, Curtis Meluney, Rachel Mullens (Colby) and Sean Meluney (Carly) and five great grandchildren; Quinn, Camille, Hadley, Clark and Marlowe. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Services will be held privately with arrangements being made through Pippin Funeral Home in Wyoming, DE.
