Pearl Vivian Patrick, 71, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Joplin Health & Rehab. Pearl was born September 1, 1947 in Lawrence, KS to James Arthur and Opal Marie “Andress” Todd. She was a lifetime resident of Carthage and worked as a nurses’ aide.

She attended Stark City General Baptist Church and was a member of the Carthage Salvation Army Church. Pearl taught Sunday school, enjoyed reading and loved being surrounded by her large family. Pearl was united in marriage to Major E. Puckett; he preceded her in death April 2013.

Pearl is survived by one son, Nathan Patrick and wife Tammy of Joplin; three step-sons, Donald Puckett and wife Sharon of St. Charles, MO, Mark Puckett, Sr. and wife Bobbie of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Richard Puckett of St. Louis, MO, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, who were her greatest joy. Pearl was preceded in death by one son, Shawn Todd in March of 2018; one step-son, Christopher Puckett; five brothers and five sisters. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Park Cemetery in Carthage.

Visitation will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Ulmer Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the Carthage Salvation Army in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.
