BEEVILLE – Pedro Guajardo Duenes, 89, of Beeville, died on Feb. 19, 2019. He was born in Bee County, Tx on Jan.

2, 1930 to Eleno and Nicolasa (Guajardo) Duenes. He married Marcela Garcia on Sept. 8, 1951 in Pawnee,Tx.

He was a retired truck driver. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lydia Duenes Garcia and one sister, Magdalena Duenes Marin. He is survived by his wife, Marcela G. Duenes of Beeville, Tx; two daughters, Maria Duenes Lopez of Beeville and Teresa Duenes Autry of Houston, Tx; two sons, Pedro (Clara) Duenes, Jr. of Pawnee, Tx and David Duenes of Beeville, Tx; four brothers, Gregorio (Delia) Duenes of Karnes City, Tx, Eleno (Adelfa) Duenes, Jr. of Pawnee, Tx, Martin Duenes and Valentin (Magdalena) Lopez both of Kenedy, Tx and Alex Lopez of Baytown, Tx; three sisters, Elidia (Rigoberto) Saenz and Lupe (Juan) Leal both of Pawnee, Tx and Aurora (David) Guerrero of Austin, Tx.

He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3-9pm on Thursday, Feb. 21, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel.

A prayer service will be recited at 7pm. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday, Feb. 22, at Oak Park Memorial.

Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Pawnee, Tx. Serving as pallbearers are Luis Cardenas, Tim Autry, Joel Saenz, Steven Saenz, Raul Duenes and Felipe Garcia. Honorary pallbearers are Arturo Autry and Juan Macias.
