Obituary for Peggy Ann Currence Print Peggy Ann (Lewis) Currence, 73, of Sutton, WV passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Braxton County Health Care Center, Sutton, WV. She was born August 1, 1945 at Sutton, WV to the late Orvil Lewis and June (Morrison) Lewis. Also preceding her in death was brothers, Fred, Bill and Larry Lewis; sister, Maxine and one great grandson.

She is survived by her loving husband, Delbert Currence; son, Anthony (Craig) Currence, Sutton, WV; daughter, Pamela Hamrick (Jeff), Coon Knob, WV; sister, Linda Bruffy, Parcoal, WV; grandchildren, Joyce, Jessie, Broody and great grandchildren, Kara, Rai Ann and Matthew Huffman. Peggy graduated from Davis and Elkins School of Nursing and worked at the Braxton County Health Care Center for many years as a nurse and was the director of nursing. She loved being a nurse and it was much more than just a job to her.

After her many years as a nurse she traveled to many different places as a troubleshooter for nursing homes. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. Her family was the most important part of her life.

She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Peggy’s wish for cremation will be honored and there will be a private Memorial Service held at a later date.
