Peggy Oneal Muncey January 10, 1939 – May 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Peggy Oneal Muncey, age 80, a resident of the Centertown Community was born January 10, 1939 in Davidson County, TN and passed away May 20, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness. She was a homemaker, member of the Baptist Church and daughter of the late Shelie and Jessie Mae Mobley Elkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Howard Eugene Muncey, Sr.; sons, Howard Eugene Muncey, Jr. and Roy Eugene “Bit” Muncey; daughter, Hazel Violet Muncey; grandson, Joshua Lee Scruggs; son-in-law, Michael Eugene Barks; sisters, Jackie Blankenship, Elizabeth Garret and Patricia Garrett; and brothers, Howard Elkins, Carlton Elkins and Shelie Elkins, Jr

Mrs. Muncey is survived by three children and spouses, Charles Wayne and Mary Muncey of Morrison and Helen Barks and Kay and Anthony Scruggs all of Centertown; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 in High’s Chapel. Interment will follow in Wilson Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and 8:00 a.m. Friday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www. highfuneralhome.com High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
