Percy Fay White, age 89, of Camden, Tennessee, formerly of Westport, Tennessee passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Life Care Center of Bruceton, Tennessee. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Jamison Cemetery in Westport, Tennessee.

Mr. White was born on July 1, 1929 in Westport, Tennessee to the late Floyd Iran White & Grace Tucker White. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Faye Cawthon White; daughter, Donna Gail Smith DePriest; brothers, Billy Ray White & Harold White; and stepson, John Williams. He retired as a carpenter after working for Kenneth Martin & Ben Holladay Furniture Companies in Huntingdon for many years.

He was a veteran from the United States Army service in the 101st Airborne. He loved to reminisce about his army brothers whom he loved, and the exploits with them while serving in Europe together. He also loved classical music and enjoyed listening to it throughout his life.

He was a former member of the Westport Church of Christ and currently a member of the Camden Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Janice Williams White of Camden, Tennessee; daughter, Carol White (Thomas) Roark of Chattanooga, Tennessee; grandchildren, Trevor (Jennie) Smith of Huntingdon, Shannon Smith (Ryan) Cobb of Clarksburg, Tennessee, Chris (Ashlea) Roark of Hixson, Tennessee, Nick (Allison) Roark of Springfield, Virginia, & Courtney Roark (Robert) Poore of Chattanooga, Tennessee; stepchildren, Julie Williams (Scott) Johnson & Jeff (Jennifer) Williams of Camden, Tennesee; great-grandchildren, Elijah Roark, Hudson Roark, Emmaline Roark, Coen Roark, Josie Emilia Roark, Adeline Poore, Bayley Cobb, Cooper Cobb, Beau Smith, & Emma Smith; step-grandchildren, Janathan Williams, Jace Williams, Jarrett Williams, & Jack Williams; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials or charities be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105). Dilday-Carter Funeral Home is in charge of Arrangements. 731-986-8281.
