Peter was a journeyman carpenter and was a lifetime member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He is survived by his fiancé Joni Lynch of Augusta and his sisters Nan Olsen of Franklin, Virginia and Lorri Frawley of Phoenix, Arizona.

He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Peter was preceded in death by his parents Lorraine and Alex VanderBeek. Private family services will be held at a later date.
