OBITUARY Peter Clancy June 1, 1960 – November 13, 2018 Peter Clancy, 58, of Lisle, IL formerly of Westbrook, Maine passed away November 13, 2018. Beloved son of Bernadette Clancy and the late Gerald Clancy; loving husband of Patty Clancy for 20 years; cherished father of Joel Clancy and April Clancy; dearest brother of Paul (Judi) Clancy; adoring uncle of Jonathan (Susanna Smith) Clancy and Christine Clancy; fond brother-in-law of Barbara (Arnie Leibovit) Schimpf, Janet Frantz, Charlie (Vickie) Schimpf, Mary Leber, Bob (Karen) Schimpf and Karen (Rex) Homme; loving uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Peter earned his bachelor’s degree at Tufts University, master’s degree at Syracuse University and his PhD at Dartmouth University.

He began his professional career as an engineer for IBM for 14 years but found his passion in teaching. For the last 11 years, Peter was a science teacher at Illinois Math and Science Academy (IMSA) in Aurora, IL. The Red Sox have lost their number one fan; he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
