Pete “Ralph E” Riggs Jr., 65, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018. He was born January 6, 1953 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Ralph E Riggs Sr. and Peggy (Eichelbrenner) Wiley. Pete was a past member of the Aurora Eagles and Aurora Moose Lodge.

He was an avid fisherman, winning several trophies. He worked as a Master Plumber at Miami University. He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Riggs of Aurora, IN; mother, Peggy Wiley of Harrison, OH; 2 sons, Jeff (wife Erika) Riggs of Cincinnati, OH, Andy (wife Jennifer) Riggs of Oxford, OH; daughter, Karen (husband Jim) Nevotti of Chicago, IL; step son, Alan Vannatter of Cincinnati, OH; 4 step daughters, Connie (husband John) Witte of Mason, OH, Karen Vannetter of Cincinnati, OH, Julie (husband Mike) Ash of Independence, KY, Terry Vannatter of Cincinnati, OH; 18 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Edward Riggs, Sr. and his sister, Pam Mayborg. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11 am.

Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana. Contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. To send flowers or a remembrance gift to the family of Pete Riggs Jr., please visit our Tribute Store.
