Obituary of Peter Kramer Peter Edward Kramer was born June 3, 1955, the son of Margaret (Peggie) Kramer (McCarthy) and Edward Charles Kramer, Jr. and passed away on January 26, 2019. He is survived by his brother, Douglas Kramer, sister Barbara Kramer, and sister Laura Kramer Frye and her husband Drew as well as nieces and nephew Hayden Kramer his wife Kelly and their daughter Alayna, Tyler Sullivan and her husband Bryon and their sons Nolan and Lucas, Jessica Craft and her husband Keih, and Valerie Kramer. Peter was a solitary man who loved nature, photography, history of the area, and animals, especially German Shepherds.

It was well known that he could talk the ear off a tick if the subject interested him. He served in the US Navy. He graduated from the CCC Police Academy; worked for Chemung County animal control, Corning Inc., Chemung County Sheriff’s Office at the Chemung County Jail; the West Elmira Police Department, and Schweizer Aircraft.

He was meticulous and detail oriented. His best friend was his German Shepherd, Boeing, who predeceased him. Boeing was very intelligent, and Peter was an amazing animal trainer.

Peter’s family is planning a scattering ceremony of his ashes later this spring or summer with an announcement at that time.
