He was born June 6, 1954 in Memphis to the late parents of Carol Wayne Bond and Mauveline Chrestman Bond. Philip was a former Graphic Design technician for the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

He was a member of All Patches Welcome Bikers Church and a avid lover of Harley Davidson Motorcycle and biker. He is survived by daughters, Casey Leigh McDaniel and Devon Rhea Elkins both of Atoka, TN. , brother, Kerry Layne Bond Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Hailey Frances Marie Johnson, Eryn Kiley Rhea Johnson, Dallas Richard Gene McDaniel, Taylor Leigh Elkins, Ashlynn Nicole Elkins, Samuel Wayne Eagle Elkins, Bentley Thomas Elkins.

A memorial service honoring Philip’s life will be 11:00 a.m. on May 2, 2019 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Bro. Dale Berryman officiating.
