Philip William Vandergriff, age 58 of Lake City, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018. Philip was born on June 2, 1959 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Loyal Vandergriff and Eloise Riggs. Philip was a coal miner.

He enjoyed four wheeling, working on cars, doing handy man work, welding, and shooting. Philip enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In addition to his parents, Philip is preceded in death by his parents in law: Joe and Alma Hembree.

Survivors: Wife Sandra Hembree Vandergriff of Lake City Son James Vandergriff of Jacksboro Daughters Brooke Vandergriff special friend Josh Norris Tara Weaver and Dan Gray of Powell Grandchildren Deacon Weaver Joshie Gray And many more family members and friends. Visitation: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City. Funeral Service: 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City with Rev.

Wayne Phillips officiating. Interment: 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton, Tennessee with Military Honors presented by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
