Phillip Ellsworth Zarger, age 72, of Dawsonville, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Phillip was born in 1946, to the late Chester “Ted” and Evalyn Louise Zarger. He was an avid collector of coins, trading cards and stamps.

Phillip worked in the automotive industry. While working in the industry, he helped launch various products for new vehicles. Phillip was a minister of the gospel through the Church of Christ and ministered to various congregations throughout the Midwest region.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Dawsonville, GA. Phillip is survived by his children, Shelley (Mike) Hoard and Troy (Rocio) Zarger; 4 grandchildren, Addison Grace Hoard, Kennedy Hoard, Hailey Zarger and Isabella Zarger; former wife of 50 years, Pam Zarger; along with many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Zarger will be Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA, with Dr. Jim Gaines officiating.

Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming is in charge of arrangements.
