Phillip M. Unik, of Springdale, joined his Savior in heaven Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Phillip was born Sept.

8, 1946, to the late John Jr. and Marie Wilson Unik, and had been a lifelong resident of the community. He served in the Air Force as an air policeman and Sergeant. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and doing house projects, and loved his retirement after 43 years at the former Westinghouse.

Surviving him are daughters, Michele (Carl) Bracken, of Pittsburgh, Renee (Eric) Johnson, of North East Pa. , and Maria (Thomas) Theisen, of New Jersey; seven grandchildren; and siblings, John Unik Jr., Paul (Dorothy) Unik, Helen (Ed) Bayne, Margaret (Sonny) Trumble and Ed and Joe Unik. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by James Unik, Anna Jean Kutchko and Mary Unik Phil was strong and resilient, with an interesting sense of humor.

He will be forever missed. Friends will be invited for visitation from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC.
