Obituary of Philomena Pizza Philomena A. Raponi Pizza “Manna” Milton, NY Formerly of Middletown, NY Philomena A. Pizza, a former secretary for Orange County Plumbing Supply in Middletown, NY, passed away Tuesday November 27, 2018 at home. She was 90. The daughter of the late Domenico and Teresa Leonetti Raponi, she was born on February 22, 1928 in Middletown, NY.

She married Nicholas J. Pizza Jr. in 1952. He predeceased her unexpectedly in 1975. Philomena was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Church in Middletown, NY and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court Rosemary #681 since the age of 18.

The last office she served was that of Grand Regent. Survivors include her 4 children: Teresa (Chris) Forman of Wilmington, NC; Nicholas (Marianne Buccelatto) Pizza III of Milton. NY; Ann (Andy) Pavlick of Montgomery, Alabama; Carol (Rick) Condon of Maryland; her grandchildren: Sarah Santo; Nicole Curran; Mark Forman; Rachel LaCoe; Celeste, Nicholas IV, Claire & John Pizza; Brian & Matt Pavlick; Katie Bissett and their spouses.

She is further survived by 13 loving great-grandchildren; her cousin: Loretta Raponi Paternostro; her brothers: Gidio & Leo Raponi; her sister: Teresa Wagner; her sister-in-law: Elsie Pizza Candito; her brother-in-law: Antonio Pizza including their spouses; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers: Eugene, Mariano & Alfred Raponi; her sisters: Velia Calli & Catherine Marino and their spouses. The family would like to pass on a very special thank you from Manna to Anthony Calli Jr, Bobbie Gorzinski, Anita Swensen & family, Juanita Marchellos, Jackie Cooper and lifelong friends: the DiVirgillio Family and Manna’s family would like to thank caregiver and friend: Ada Kharebava.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Friday November 30, 2018 at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main Street Middletown, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Saturday December 1, 2018 at St. Joseph’s RC Church on Cottage Street in Middletown, NY. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Middletown, NY.
