Phyllis (Bingley) Turner, 79, died surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday December 15th, 2018 at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. Phyllis was born in East Hartford, CT on June 23rd, 1939 and was the daughter of Helena and Phillip Bingley, she grew up in Middlefield, MA and graduated from Chester High School. Phyllis is survived by 3 daughters, Susan Pickel and her husband Stephen Pickel of Sautee, GA.

Phyllis also had 8 great grandchildren. Phyllis will join her husband, James R Turner Sr, and 2 children Carol L Roy and James R Turner Jr in heaven. Phyllis loved being surrounded by her family and friends.

She owned small diners in Newport, VT, Huntington, MA and her last endeavor My Dad’s Diner in St Albans, VT where she shared her love of coffee, conversation and “Phyllis’s Stuffed French Toast” with the community. It was there she met George Draper and partnered with him until his death in 2011. Phyllis loved unplanned adventures, playing cards, scratch off tickets and County fairs.

Phyllis will sadly be missed by all, but God gave us memories so we may have roses in December. She will be kept in our hearts forever. A graveside service will be held in the Spring at Mead Hill Cemetery in Holland VT.
