Mrs. Phyllis Heaps Scaturro, 94 was the daughter of the late James and Jane Mason Heaps of Prescot, England. She was preceded in death by her husband, US Army Retired WWII Veteran Joseph Scaturro. She is survived by her daughter, Gillian “Jill” Vasquez and husband, Ruben of Raeford; two granddaughters, Neill Legg and husband, John and Rachel Davis and husband, Roddy, all of Fayetteville; three great grandsons, Jack, Andrew and Isaac, all of Fayetteville; and many nieces and nephews in the UK and Canada.

She was a former member and served a term as president of the British Wives Club and Tea Group. She was very fond of the “Great Band Era” music and an accomplished ballroom dancer. She was talented in crochet needlework and gifted her family and friends with many of her lovely pieces.

A private family graveside will be held Friday, November 23, 2018.
