Obituary for Phyllis J. Hibbs Phyllis Jean Hibbs, age 80, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018. She was born May 21, 1937 in Muskegon to Lucille Delong and Phillip J. Mahn, Sr. On May 4, 1957, she married Eldon “Al” Hibbs in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2014. Phyllis had worked for Clarke Floor Machine for over 20 years and for Plumb’s for 5 years prior to retirement.

She had resided at The Village at Park Terrace, where she had been extremely active coordinating social events and activities for the residents. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters: Terri (Larry) Dunnewin of Texas, Marlene (Dennis) Steele of Holland; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Pat Gibson; step-brothers: Ed (Barb) Mahn, Phillip J. “Buzz” (Linda) Mahn, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Alan Hibbs; sisters: Joyce Ulis and Leoma Castle; and step-brother, Tom Mahn.

A CELEBRATION OF PHYLLIS’ LIFE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 19, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with Rev. Ken Vanderlaan officiating. VISITATION with the family will be from 5-7 PM Friday, May 18, 2018.

Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS to the Muskegon Rescue Mission will be appreciated. Share memories with the family at their On-line Guest Book at www.
