Phyllis J. Hartman, age 88, of New Port Richey, FL and formerly a long time resident of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Sabal Palms Health Care Center, Largo, FL. A 1949 graduate of North Side High School, she worked in retail sales at Sears Glenbrook for ten years. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Hartman, and her parents, Hildur and Denton Manecke.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, sports, and country music. She was a charter member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. Those left to cherish her memories include her son, William Hartman of Batesville, Mississippi, and daughters, Lisa Kimmell and Cheryl Gondell of Fort Wayne.

Also surviving are her nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 2305 Goshen Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46808. Private family service will be held in her memory.
