Obituary for Phyllis Perdue Phyllis Rae Sherwood Perdue, age 69, of 16490 Botetourt Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia died Sunday, October 21, 2018 at her residence. She was born March 22, 1949 in Greenbrier County, West Virginia to the late Kesley Ford Sherwood and Una Mae Bennett Sherwood. She was a homemaker throughout her life.
She was a Christian, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed growing flowers and loved her family. She is survived by her husband, David E. Perdue of Eagle Rock; a son, David E. Perdue, Jr. and wife Deborah of Richmond; a daughter, Daphne Dempsey and husband Ron of Clifton Forge; five grandchildren, Christopher K. Tinsley, Kaleigh R. Pyle and husband Nick, David E. Perdue III, Regina K. Perdue, and Chris M. Shaver and his father, Mike Shaver; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor John Godfrey, Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Pallbearers will be Christopher Tinsley, David Perdue III, Chris Shaver, Nick Pyle, Ron Dempsey, David Perdue, Jr., and Mike Shaver.
The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 12:30 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
