OBITUARY Preston D. Fransen December 27, 1929 – September 8, 2018 On Saturday, September 8, 2018, Preston D. Fransen, of Porter, TX, a loving husband and father of five daughters, passed away at the age of 88. Preston was born December 27, 1929 in Pelly, TX to Lorenzo G. and Mattie B. Fransen. On May 10, 1949, he married Nancy Joan Walpole and together they raised five daughters.

They were married 50 years in 1999 when Joan passed away. Preston was a skilled craftsman in paint and body work from 1960 – 1998 in the Humble, TX and surrounding areas. He was always willing to teach and give anyone in need of repairs to their vehicle for very little cost or for free.

Preston was preceded in death by: his wife of 50 years, Joan; father Lorenzo G. Fransen; mother Mattie B. Fransen; brother Jay Fransen; sister, Mary Fransen and granddaughter, Krystal Bader. He is survived by: his five daughters Sharon Withrow, Karon Bader and her husband Ken, Terry Smith, Teresa Fransen and Kim Morgan; his brother Roy Fransen; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and nieces. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home Chapel of Chimes, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
