R. Paul Evans, 92, of Rostraver Township went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. Born in Webster on September 19, 1926, he was the son of the late Walter S. and Elma (Wilson) Evans. Mr. Evans was retired from US Steel where he worked as a crane and machine operator.

He was an active member of Perryopolis Baptist Church and formerly served as a Deacon. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. (Staley) Evans; sons, Paul L. (Cindy) Evans of Rostraver and Larry E. (Carolyn) Evans of Verona; grandchildren, Lori O’Farrill and Heather (Mark) DiPiazza; great grandchildren, Isabella and Calleigh; and half sister, Elaine Hancharik.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www. jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. with Pastor David Patrick and Pastor Leroy Kesler officiating. Interment, with Military honors, will follow in Fells Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of one’s choice.
