Rachel Gillikin Styron, 75, of Beaufort, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019, at Carteret Health Care. Her funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Amariah Garner Cemetery in Newport.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard Styron of the home; daughter, Opal Styron Mason and husband John of Beaufort; sons, Alston Styron and wife Tabitha of Newport, Michael Styron and wife Kathleen of Newport; brother, Luther Gillikin and wife Linda of Ellenboro; grandchildren, Keeley Styron, Ayden Styron, Aleena Styron, Araya Styron, Taven Styron, Kristina Tiffany, Morgan Bowman, Damien Styron, Angeles Styron, Dalton Styron, Joey Goldston, Jesse Mason and John Mason, Jr.; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Alice Gillikin and sister, Leonnette Akerson. Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home.
