Mrs. Rachel Irene Goolsby Camp, age 84, of Stockbridge, Georgia went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 24, 2019. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Vernon Eugene Camp; parents, Paul and Irene Goolsby; sisters, Mary Lou Morris, Shirley Jean Goolsby; and brother, Paul L. Goolsby, Jr

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Brad White, Denise and Keith Odom; son and daughter-in-law, Gary E. and Leslie (Sally) Camp; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, JoAnne Mitchell; sister-in-law, Betty Goolsby; several nieces and nephews. Her main focus in life was her family, taking care of them and loving them unconditionally. During her husband’s life they attended Lorraine Assembly of God since 1964 and worked tirelessly for the church and to spread the Gospel.

After his death, she continued their joint effort as long as she was able. She loved the Lord, attending church and praising Him. She loved working in her yard with her plants.

She was known for her green thumb and beautiful roses. One of her hobbies was shopping at Dollar General and Goodwill. During the last few years she picked up the hobby of coloring and created many beautiful works of art.

She will be missed for her smile, her compassion, her hugs, her songs, her generous spirit but most of all for the love she gave. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Lorraine Assembly of God with Rev. George Cromer and Dennis Mitchell officiating; interment will follow at the Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www. scotward.com.
