Rachel Patricia ( Pat ) Ward Niemann Thomson, GA- Mrs. Pat Niemann, 75, entered into rest November 9, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Niemann was born in Macon, GA to the late Ernest Barrington Ward and Rachel Brown Ward. Her family moved to Washington, GA soon thereafter.

Pat graduated from Washington Wilkes High School in 1960. She attended Georgia Southern University for 2 years, and then traveled to Ramstein AFB in West Germany to marry William (Bill) Niemann from Lincolnton, GA. Pat stood beside her husband, traveling the world, as he served his country for 21 years in the United States Air Force.

Upon retirement, Pat moved to Washington, Ga in 1980. Pat worked as a para pro at WWCHS’s media center, performed administrative duties for Care South, Belk, Wills Memorial Hospital, and McDonald’s Corp. She moved to Thomson, Ga in 2009, and was an active member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed crafting, playing dominoes, flower and vegetable gardening, raising chickens and camping. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Niemann was predeceased by her brother, Ernie Ward. Survivors include her son, Bill Niemann (Jo.

) of Powder Springs, GA; daughters, Cindy Price, (Joseph) of Washington, GA and Lynn Underwood (Jay) of Evans, GA; 6 grandchildren, Levi Young, Lilly Young, Amanda Niemann, Melanie Niemann, Naomi Niemann, and Brooke Niemann; also a niece, Jessalyn Ward of Sandy Springs, GA. Visitation will be held at 10 AM, funeral service at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Shiloh United Methodist Church 5970 Cobbham Rd. , Appling, GA 30802 (12 miles north of I20, exit 175) with Rev.

Shirley Suarez officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3 PM in Resthaven Cemetery, Washington Georgia. It is an honor for Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd.

, Thomson, GA to serve the Niemann family.
