Rae L. Lindell, 92, formerly of Lander, passed away on January 8, 2019, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House. Rae was born on October 2, 1926, in Youngsville, to the late Guy and Mabel (Johnson) Chase. She graduated from Youngsville High School.

After her marriage, she was a homemaker and operated a dairy farm with her husband. Rae was a member and trustee of the Lander United Methodist Church. While she was able, she always helped with Bible school and luncheons.

She was a blue-ribbon winner for her pies and yeast rolls at the Warren County Fair. She was also a member of a birthday club, the antique study club and the 500-card club. Rae loved to bowl and was involved in three different leagues.

Most of all, Rae loved spending time with her family. Rae is survived by her children, Deborah (Richard) Cable, Beth (Gary) Bloomgren, and Jack (Gale) Lindell; her daughter-in-law, Trudy Bull; her brother, Alton Chase; 11 grandchildren, Christopher (Billi Jo), Sarah (Ray) Hacke, Maryanne Lindell, Daniel (Silvia) Cable, Trevor (Jenny) Cable, Emily (Rick) Massey, Jill Bloomgren, Gregory (Leslie) Bloomgren, Michael (Jodie) Lindell, Carrie (Patrick) Guiher and Richard Lindell; 15 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rae is preceded in death on November 30, 1989 by her loving husband, Richard Lindell whom she married on November 8, 1946; her son Dennis R. Lindell, who passed on April 21, 2000; her brothers Guy, Oscar, Charles and Ned Chase; her sisters, Dorothy Slocum, Susan Ludwick, Annabelle Anthony and Idabelle Swanson.

Friends will be received from 2-5 pm on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 14, 2019, at the Lander United Methodist church, 5582 PA-957, Russell, PA 16345, with Rev. Mark Hurst and Rev. Marcus Briggs, co-officiating.

Interment will take place at Foster Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial donations be given to, the Lander United Methodist Church, 5582 PA-957, Russell, PA 16345, Warren County Hospice House, designated for Hospice House, 1 Main Ave, Warren, PA 16365, or to the Suites of the Rouse, 615 Rouse Ave.
