There will be a visitation on Thursday, December 27th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in Adcock Funeral Home. Mr. Alvarez is survived by his wife Tonette; sisters Susana Rivera and husband Santos of Kissimee FL, Angela Contreras and husband Mario of New York, NY, and Maritza Tineo of New York, NY; brother Luis Alvarez and wife Cookie of New York, NY; sons Rafael Alvarez II and wife Michelle of Sanford, NC, and Jonathan James Alvarez and wife Brittani of Fayetteville, NC; daughters Joanna Alvarez and companion Ryan Collins, of Lillington NC, and Amanda Cheyenne Grose and husband Allen, of Fayetteville, NC; and grandchildren Daesin, Raven, Xavier, Rafael, Azare, Brady, Jake, Olivia, Wyatt, Journee, Destinee, and Sincere.

Mr. Alvarez loved to work with flowers and plants and cooking for his family. But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Condolences may be made to Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory.
