He will be remembered as a devoted husband and a caring and loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Carmen Ortiz. His children Jacqueline Ortiz, Rafael Ortiz, Doris Ortiz Fermin and Julie Ortiz.

His grandchildren Alexander, Jennifer, Jhovanny, Rafael, Jesse, Miguel, Alejandro, Allyson, Julianna and Klyde.
