OBITUARY Rafael T. Pena December 27, 1934 – January 8, 2019 Rafael T. Peña, 84, of Freeport, Texas, passed away on Tuesday January 8, 2019. Rafael was born on December 27, 1934 to Alejandro and Emilia Peña in Dr. Coss N.L., Mexico. Rafael Peña was born to Alejandro Peña and Emilia Trevino and on December 27, 1934 in Dr. Coss NL, Mexico.

Rafael Peña married Gloria Isabel Olivas in Freeport TX on November 16, 1996. Rafael Peña worked 40 years alongside his father in the commercial business in Dr. Coss, NL Mexico and for 26 years as a Journey man in D-Square Foundation Repair in Angleton TX with founder and owner David D. Square who later became a life time friend. Rafael Peña enjoyed spending time with his family doing his famous “Carne Asada” and loved to grow produce and nurture his orange trees, a passion he shared with his father.

Rafael is survived by his “wife; Gloria Pena”, “sons; Rafael Pena Jr, Ever Ivan Pena and Alejandro Pena”. Grandchildren; Emily A. Pena, Jessica A. Pena, Rafael Pena III, Ever I. Pena Jr, Abigail A. Pena, Ethan I. Pena, Lily Pena and Adam A. Pena. Serving as pallbearers are Sons Rafael Pena Jr, Ever Ivan Pena, Alejandro Pena, nephews Lucio Pena, Manuel Pena and Horacio Pena Jr. A gathering to share memories will be held at Restwood funeral home on Friday January 11, 2019 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

A celebration of Rafael’s life will be held at Restwood Funeral home on Saturday January 12, 2019 at 10:00am, followed by the graveside service. FAMILY Rafael is survived by his “wife; Gloria Pena”, “sons; Rafael Pena Jr, Ever Ivan Pena and Alejandro Pena”. Grandchildren; Emily A. Pena, Jessica A. Pena, Rafael Pena III, Ever I. Pena Jr, Abigail A. Pena, Ethan I. Pena, Lily Pena and Adam A. Pena.
