Ralph Barnes July 02, 1937 – May 03, 2019 Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Ralph Barnes son of the late Ruth Whitchurch Barnes and Dora Barnes was born in Ellington, Missouri, on July 2, 1937. He departed this life at Mercy Jefferson in Festus, Missouri, on May 3, 2019, at the age of 81. On June 3, 1962 in Piedmont, Missouri, Ralph was united in marriage to Mildred Kidd, she preceded him in death on October 14, 2001.

Ralph was then united in marriage to Edna Harr in Bismarck, Missouri, on March 2, 2003. Ralph was a member of the New Hope General Baptist Church in Cold Water, Missouri and the First United Baptist Church of Farmington, Missouri. He had a generous nature and was a true follower of Jesus Christ.

Ralph worked at Combustion Engineering a few years after moving to Wellston, a suburb of St. Louis, then he went to work for Elfrink Truck Lines. He liked to work the night shift so he could work on lawn mowers during the daytime. He liked Beagle hounds.

He judged several field trials and had a few champions himself. He was a caretaker at the Girl Scout ranch near Bunker Hill II. He was a good story teller.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, taking pictures, reading poems, and listening to Tim and Rita play guitars and sing. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Mildred Kidd, two brothers, Tim Barnes and William Barnes, and one step-son, Thomas Olive. Ralph is survived by his wife, Edna Barnes of Farmington, Missouri, one step-daughter, Anita Martin, one step-son, Kenneth Olive and wife Cheryl, two brothers, Tex Barnes and wife Earlene of Piedmont, Missouri, and Dave Barnes and wife Deb of Belleville, Illinois, four sisters, Juanita Rust of Staunton, Illinois, Rita Casey and husband Carl of Heber City, Utah, Nancy Mills of Annapolis, Missouri, and Vicky Kova of Potosi, Missouri, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ralph will be deeply missed a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn his passing.
