Ralph D. Drane, age 91 of Hardinsburg, KY died Monday, November 5, 2018 at Breckinridge Memorial Nursing Facility. He was born in Marks Ridge, KY on June 16, 1927, the son of the late Bob and Vitula Meador Drane. Ralph was an Army veteran of the Korean War, attended Emmanuel Fellowship Church, was a retired truck driver with Southern States and a farmer.

He loved his family, farming and western movies. In addition to his parents Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Helen Drane, son Tony Drane, sister Margaret Robinson and brothers Ova C. Drane and Larry H. Drane. He is survived by 4 children: Jan Lampton (Eddie) of Southgate, Michigan Misty Drane (Chad) of Madrid, KY Angie Drane of Floyds Knobs, IN Jeff Drane (Brenda) of Eveleigh, KY 2 stepdaughters – Tina Sebastian (Les) of Hardinsburg, KY and Veronica Helm (Ricky) of Elizabethtown,KY 7 grandchildren: Amber and Paige Drane, Jason and Brian Lampton, Megan Noblett, Jennifer Peyser and Tommy Carman 2 stepgrandchildren: Scott and Taran Armes 8 great grandchildren 3 sisters: Lucille Sutton of Woodrow, KY Geraldine Nix of Locust Hill, KY Debbie Poole (Randall) of McDaniels, KY many nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 1 PM.

Burial with military honors will be in the Custer Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 4-8 PM and Thursday after 8 AM.
