Ralph E. Hayward, age 79, of Grove City died on Monday, December 3, 2018 at his home in Grove City. A graveside service will take place at a later date. Ralph Ernie Hayward, the son of Ralph C. and Josephine (Messersmith) Hayward, was born on June 29, 1939 in Elmore, MN.

He grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1957. He continued his education at Dunwoody. Right after school he made custom motorcycle seat for Harley Davidson.

He then worked for Borson Construction in Minneapolis. He then moved to California and worked for a computer company for twelve years. He returned to Minnesota and started his own business, G Lundeen Outerwear.

He lived in Grove city for the past 15 years. Ralph enjoyed traveling on his motorcycle, mountain climbing, snowmobile racing, making jackets, cooking and craft shows. Ralph is survived by his sister Delores Vandermartin of Florida, nieces and nephews and his significant other Gloria Lundeen of Grove City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Joan Adrians.
